Always the Sea I See

Always the sea I see
in the surrounding storm of my life
and feel oft as though I've been held back,
pushed beneath hope's bouyant wave.

Yet within my heart swells
a vision halved, ever longing to be whole;
grows confident knowing: as sea meets sky,
so shall we come to love's infinite line.

Miles of land stretched between us,
but within mysterious dreams of possibility
I gaze into your soulful eyes, and it is
always the sea I see.

The sea is powerfully symbolic and holds a special meaning for many. You express this very well here, Dawn. Thank you. Love and peace,
