The horror I feel each day following the daily news events especially on Sept. 11, 2001 begin to ressemble the horror described by Louis Ferdinand Celine writing of his journey's during WW II.

"Those who talk about the future are scoundrels. It is the present that matters. To evoke one's posterity is to make a speech to maggots." (from Journey to the End of the Night)

Celine’s Harvest

Centuries old seeds have come to life
On the one hand truth, love’s gleaming light
Still the other hand describes a plight
Impending doom and endless night

We viewed with shock and tearful eyes
Death poured forth, out of the sky
Scattering 4000 souls and ash
Within our beautiful cities

Grief stricken hands we need all join
Praying for the light to overwhelm
Dark forces putting us to the test
Else shall we reap Celine’s harvest

I truly think that a little piece of my heart and my soul and my hope for mankind died along with those
who perished on that day, but all the good in them has cried out to me and caused some kind of rebirth. This is gifted writing. Pierre.

You listen with the spirit of four thousand souls who whisper, "Remember us." There are poeple who are blessed with a special Muse. You are blessed in this way and you give heroes a voice when theirs is now silent. I'm watching for every word you write Simon. Please give me more. You are my friend. I am so very proud of you, your heart and soul. Keep your strength in the special Muse that you were given.

Love to my good and wise friend.
