And what of the future

Where will it all end, this world we are creating for ourselves.

How can I be honest if I walk by the standards of the day. How can I call my neighbour friend when they twist the things I say.
Is my life to be led by looking over my shoulder when out walking.
Am I to be careful in doing things that bring me joy or when talking.
Will I be brought before the courts when innocently saying hello to a child,
And my name be spread across the tabloids and my good character defiled.
Will the law see me as innocent until proven guilty, will it see me as guilty,
Having to prove my innocence before courts that will make me feel filthy.
Will my name remain on police records though all shadow of doubt said, innocent.
Innocent or not my good name and character would be lost, I forced into a reticent
Way of life unfamiliar to my true nature, which is one of kindness and a love for all
Who cross my path. I see the future killed by do gooders, the rise before the fall.
A morbid thought, yes I suppose it is, but when I look at the world, we have created,
I cannot but think that those of evil intent, those secret societies who are oft related
To the do gooders of this world, who would have us live happily as dictated by them.
We have had them before, our Stalin's and Hitler's, Napoleon's and Idi Armen.
