Originally an idea written in 1973 the year that Picasso and Casals both passed away. They probably are busy at dominoes.I've spent many hours in the Casals Library viewing video's of his concerts. If ever in San Juan, PR, go! And Picasso? An amazing, alluring, vibrant artist who seemingly could venture into any medium effortlessly. I love these men very much.

Pablo

Boats at their moorings in Galecia moan low
Sad warm winds over the plains and plateaus
In the cities a stirring within the soul
Of each and every Spaniard

The wand of light has no hand to guide
In the galleries their eyes aghast and wide
Each to each the masterpieces cry
Its true our master is no longer alive

And in a far Caribbean Isle
An empty theater, we sat awhile
To watch that celebrated bow flash wild
Upon strings no wind will sound above

Two sons of Spain have gone from us
To a domino game among the stars
Each of their stones will bear with grace
A simple mans name…Pablo

Si!!!
Pablo Picasso is one of my favorite artists and, like my father , is revered for his diverse art and subjects; for his adventurious art during his blue and gray periods and for his love of all things living. Your pen is a just tribute to two awesome Pablos of great talent and creativity. To you, dear Simon, I'm sure they whisper their secrets in an untimely fashion. Tell me more.
Love to my Carolina Yank.
