Chewing the fat off
the 5th porkchop
I lock on to a
vision of Eclairs
dripping with sweet
satisfaction
beckoning from
a shiny dessert tray

wiping the chin
of my gluttony
with a slice of
pepperoni pizza
I seem to recall
the supersize menu
I had for breakfast

and picking up the glass
of diet coke
I usually drink to
wash all this down
I get a glimpse of
a bloated reflection
hailing a waiter for
the check

meanwhile
turning in my seat
suggests that the
contour waistline
of my indulgence
traces the roadmap
to a heavy ending.
