J. Allen Wilson is a man of fine stature but he seems to kinda remind me of the hippie above...e

Lives in the southern most Carolina,

Loves the shore in Georgia & the sea,

Has found a new place other than Tybee,

Haunts this island paradise with his lady…

He sends pictures for us to feel envy,

Of sunrises, sunsets & a palm tree,

Such does exist on this island of beauty,

Home to his job he is now, working too hard,

I am sure he wouldn’t disagree…

Someday we will meet, that I can foresee,

To grasp that southern language I cannot guarantee,

I know for sure we will have a good time to the ‘enth degree,

To meet this poet and his lady in person will be for me jubilee…

You have a good eye for friends, Ed and you two poets will enjoy one another a plenty. I'd "sho nuf" like to be a sqitter on the wall when you two have a "sit down".

This is a real cute and relaxing one Ed. I will be settling down in the south in about 7 more years when I am 40 years of age. Georgia will be my home of relaxation.

Ed dear sir, thank you for the most gracious thoughts and poem. I must say though that it is I who would be enlightened by the meeting of minds. However I really must confess…as Eileen so aptly states in her comment about Rufuz and China… Rufuz would need to know that China is not a kitty meal. As fer tha language you’ll pick that up reeel eazy…yall come back now ya hear…Peace and happiness to you.

Wonderful poem about J Allen! He and Leah are surely a couple you'd enjoy to meet and spend time with! When you do say hello for me.
Make sure you first teach Rufuz about China their cat;-)
