In memory of my Mom
Thank you Lord, for all you have done,
By giving us your love, your beloved Son,
That we may reign with you Father on high,
To worship everlasting in love and not cry.
In thankfulness, Lord, you heard my request,
Throught the trials, my sorrow is blessed,
That you could grant my Mother's earnest request,
She'd never see a hospital before her final rest.
Though I call her before I went to sleep,
There was silence, my brother's phone busy,
It was by Your Grace, Lord, I must confess,
I felt such peace, that everything was in your hand.
Thank you Lord, for Mom's final rest,
Victory is for those who pass the test,
For those who've suffered this Earth have past the gates,
Heavens door's opened wide, welcoming my mom's request.
Precious Lord, thank you more,
For what we have after passing Earth's shores,
Jesus' embrace with spirit and strength,
Through newness of life, our spirits complete.
Thank you Lord, for the still small voice,
When I laid to rest that night,
Somehow I knew your will was done,
The Comforter helped directed her flight.

|A beautiful poem filled with peace and tranquility. No one can ever take the place of ones mother. .....M|

|How beautiful, and this hits home for me too as my Mom passed away this past Christmas. She too wanted to die at home and she did. God granted my mom's request too. Loved the poem.|

|Oh Sharon, I'm so sorry -- it's a sad day when we lose our Mothers. My own mother passed away nearly fifteen years ago and I still miss her. Your faith has carried you through and your poem reflects that love.
