Wait For Me

I spoke the lexis of life, I spoke healing.
I cried and the stars became my tears.
I touched you tender and you softly sighed,
I prayed down the mountains, yet still you died.

Did I fail from within my simple heart?
Or was my faith too shallow to conquer the dark?
Did I just not wholly and truly believe?
Or was it just preordained that your spirit take leave?

I to this I think not to truly understand,
and perhaps the separations of secrets does not lie within our hand.
Therefore in the stillness of memories that come my way,
I ask but that you wait for me just inside the Eastern Gate.

The final meeting place is reserved isn't it J. Allen? Thank you for the dedicated love here. It is a warn and tender, private whisper.

Touching and sentimental with the feeling of loss over a loved one's demise, the hope though is in the eventual reunion and that is what this poem symblolizes.

Beautiful write about what we can and cannot change. Faith does not always move mountains. Sometimes it is meant to give us spiritual strength to climb them. What we need to know in our hearts is which is which. "God grant me the courage to change the things I can, the faith to accept that that I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference.
This is an A+ write.
God Bless,
