Does a rose
know her petal's
once they lay at her side?
Their tender, soft, beauty
she's given with pride...

Can two passionate lovers
love after the ride?
their total surrender
and obsession's tears dried...

Can a woman
love a man
even after she's cried,
tears of passion,
rejection, deception, and pride?

Can my broken heart be mended
though it seems so far gone?

Can my sins be forgiven
through multiplied wrong?

Will a man remember
once we give him our all...
Two passionate lovers
obeying the call...

Does a rose
know her petal's
once they lay at her side?
Does she realize their value,
as though something has died?

Certain things can only happen once.

Can a passionate heart ever turn its back on love? Someone stepped on a very delicate flower. I hope she does not wilt from the experience.

{{ Lori }} I dont think I could say it better than Alexander.... Just like the rose, the woman has her dormant period.. a time to breath and renew.. then the light shines on her again and she is even more beautiful than before...

Wow Lori, I felt such emotion from this. I dont know, maybe she does know, and the falling of her petals are her tears...for being once loved and her beauty and grace now forgotten. <sigh>

Can a woman love a man even after she's cried ??...the answer is definately... 'yes',...my dear love and I were apart for many years after he left me me for her...I waited ,and cried, and finally, he came back ...and he stayed ...and is still here(in my life)...after the tears 'love returns'...but only if it is 'true love'.
I love your poem .it is deep and beautiful.

Good questions, Lori. I think of life as a series of deaths or transformations. Just like a rose sheds its petals, we peel off that which is false in our lives, and find our true selves. Beautiful poem.

Beautiful...life continues on...such as the tender petals of a rose even after they wilt and die...after they fall off and eventually return to the earth...so does the mother plant in time. We begin to die the very moment we are born. but it is in the interim that we live, laugh, love and cry to the utmost. Beautiful write.
