We will meet

in the evening

of our lives

though hope

seems lost

or

 in disguise

when all seems dark

and prone to strife

we will find

The Love

in this Life

I will meld with You

though bodies be frail

our souls will at last

in unison sail

I will breathe  You

in a dying breath

though it  be my last

it will end the quest

If there is such a thing as prophetic rapture, it fills these lines with the music of a love that knows its destiny and the light of a soul happy to claim it. Thrilling work indeed.

I agree with Eileen, this is magnificent; romantic, surreal, imaginatively erotic. Thank you for sharing, Vesna.

Wonderful fulfilment and consummation of what it means to live and breathe, Vesna... in love. Funny, I have been brooding on a poem not yet "birthed" about being awoken by life as a romance, with thoughts not a million miles from these. Though the body waxes frail, still its colour and vibrancy grows stronger... Your appreciation of myself and work blows me away. I am touched beyond measure. Thank you, and for being such an inspiration, too. Bless you for these gorgeous autumn of life thoughts. LOL K xx

Yearning and hope override sadness and dissappointment in this write of what cannot be now but may be in the future. As so often is stated and may be in this case...the last shall be first, and perhaps that is the best. Great expressions of the heart Ves.
