photo: fall in the Pacific Northwest

knowing the fall
is the time of leaves

rake between the raindrops
be mindless as
more are shed
randomly to
gusts and clouds

earth beneath your feet
air upon your cheeks
water within your hair
fill your chest with fire

and breathe deeply, slowly

knowing transition
is the time of leaves

find gratitude within the fall
be mindless as
less are shed
random to
gusts and clouds

ground around your whole
breath within your soul
wet upon your then
your fire will come when

the time of leaves is shed

I can so relate to these soulful sentiments; I suppose I ought to since I'm just up the coast from you. Love and peace,
