"Life is the little shadow which runs across
the grass and loses itself in the sunset."
Crowfoot-->last words 1890

~Always Something New~

Always when someone greets me...
they curiously seem to know my name,
and sometimes they look familiar-
...though somethings not the same.

Now I have freedom's living memory
yet it seems my wings are clipped,
perhaps I was just at the airport-
when into harbor sailed my great ship.

Lifetimes seem to fly by...
moments now lasting forever,
I'd get upset about it all; though-
might astonish my mind with clever.

Maybe then I would take a walk
around the city's pretty avenue;
or take a bus out to the country-
even those trees out my window look new!

Maybe in truth it was these before...
and I really have been through that door,
but I must tell you in all hearts' honesty-
It's always something new; but I'm still me:)
