"Butterflies are free to fly
But soon they fly away..."
-Sheryl Crow

Why do we love them?

Fragile creatures of the air

Painted so brightly

Touching blooms lightly

Silent spirits of the breeze

Softly moving us

Fluttering alone

Their brief time with us cherished

Lighting up our lives

Are they metaphors?

Winged symbols of freedoms light

Flying colors true

Messages from God

Whispered from above the clouds

Saying…I love you

Your gossamer haiku is superior, and I am particularly blessed, as the butterfly is my logo.

'Messages from God

Saying...I love you.'

Beautiful as a baby's sigh..

A Haiku chain, each as delicate as the butterfly they represent, ethereally winged with light and air that almost lifts them off the page and lets them dance... God's gift from the heart, I agree, Butch.
The metaphor of those perplexingly beautiful creatures is multitudinous and so lovingly captured by your sterling pen and truly majical graphic. Oh, this gives me butterflies!

Beautiful...reminds me of the song Butterfly Kisses, delicate creatures and beautiful. I always thought they were a bit mystical.

Butch ...

To paint such beauty within the parameters of a rigid structure is clear evidence of poetic insight and discipline. Well done!
