This morning driving to work at 6am, still sleepy, I misheard a radio announcer, talking about a Winter Wonderland.  I thought he said a Linted Wonderland, and started laughing to myself in the car when I realized my mistake.  But then my poetic juices started to simmer and this goofy little poem popped into my cabeza!

Read this in the melody of Winterland

A Linted Wonderland

The dryer spins
Filled with sweaters
They're the signs of the weather
The lint trap is gray as it spins away
Filling up a linted wonderland

Round and round, spin some towels
Mixed with sweats, down and cowls
They tango in dance
A fabric romance
Filling up a linted wonderland

Mixing whites, with some colors
Dumping brights, and the dullers
My sweaters are frayed
I'm lazy that way
Filling up a linted wonderland

When the clothes are dried
I let them sit there
As they wrinkle into many folds
When I go to wear them
I'll look awful
But I don't give a shit because its cold

On my hair, I'll have lint balls
In the colors of my sweat clothes
I'll look like a mess
Yeah, that's how I'll dress
Looking like a linted wonderhead

Muuhaahaa
Looking like a Linted Wonderhead

Pax

I second Paul. Hear hear!! I never did see the sense of ironing shirts that were going to be sweat stained and creased with toil within the hour of my starting work.

You are the Queen of clever, regardless of the lint in your hair or gray fuzzies. Nice way to start my day...guess I'd better get a load of laundry going...ughhhh.

Inside the laundry is spinning
and the lint is winning the race.
Come on keep the dryer drying
and the filter cleaning for the lint is spinning every place:

LOL!
Isn't it great how someone can say something and someone else can come up with a delightfully funny write?
God Bless,
Lew

Your laundry etiquette sounds about as efficient as mine, Anita! Who needs colours when you can have one particular all-co-ordinating shade of pinkey-grey?! Matches the whites of my eyes a treat! Adore this! YOU sparkle, even if your sequins have been dulled! LOL K xx

Your poetic cabeza Dear Anita, never, ever, falters. I chuckled through this whole thing.

"But I don't give a shit because its cold" Such language from a nice Hispanic woman!
