This is not a "usual" Christmas write for me. Check out "I've Lost Christmas," that is more along my frame of mind at this time of year. I thought I would try something different. The format (rhyming acrostic) is very restrictive and thus will probably seem "forced." Best wishes to each one of you. (Jt'aJ)

Merry Christmas
(rhyming acrostic)

May your hearts be full of joy
Everyone each girl each boy
Remember this time of year
Reach out to all far and near
Your soul will be filled with mirth

Christ the Lord has come to Earth
Hear the angels sing with might
Repel darkness bring on light
In a blaze of Heaven’s glory
Such a never ending story
Thoughts of darkness are no more
May all spirits rise and soar
All peoples as one rejoice
So peace at last is the choice

Regis, Even though the celebrated day has past, Christmas is for me a daily remembrance of our precious Lord and Savior. You have penned a lovely acrostic, most appropriate for the time of year. I apologize for being late in responding, but I'm still combing through my backlog after a much needed 11 day Caribbean cruise holiday.

I trust your Christmas was wonderful. Here's wishing you and yours a blessed and safe New Year. May you continue to write poems long into the future. Thank you for visiting my site. Your support is precious.
