A Haiku Non-Sequence

It's time for the wolf
to learn from deer, to know
and to master fear.

Owl hoots at midnight,
silent wings beating darkness.
Mice hide under leaves.

*


He'd share his silent
lexicon, if he could find
flesh to ink it on.
