It was a great feeling to be back home. After living in the west for six long years.I realised how much I was missing my own country. And this is a poem that sprang up seeing Kathmandu once again!

Beneath the ribbons of an inky-haze
Like a monkey ass smokey afternoon
You smiled!
Your cheeks blushing garbage
That you paint everyday,everywhere!
I hear you inside the clamour of 15 tomatoes and 10 radishes
That stands on every street.
The stiff neck of an old cart puller.
I see your beauty
Though the spits and phlegm layers your skin.
You are heaven!
Kathmandu.

A Very Happy New Year 2007 to all!
