A Secret Kiss
Rescue
eyes that look at me and are not
distant
from a sea without waves
I never saw
grapes I did not eat
days I did not live
still
they are memories like ships
they are branches rowing east
and behind my hands
a kiss
I never gave.

| Very beautiful, mint-leaf-like moments compressed into a lyric that shows great discipline in the use of imagery, effecting great precision, deep in its melancholy. |

| Such vivid, rich imagery, this flows exquisitely and leaves me in reflective mood. Great work. Panda :) |
