The Crack

I feel empty inside tonight

Filled with nothing at all

Sometimes it can be a blessing

But not today

It's like the "silence before a storm"

I have found that at some point today

Something just cracked deep within

Tears started to flow once again

Waiting for that moment with you

But this crack formed within my heart

Left me blind…knowing

You might not be around

But our love is strong enough

To survive this crisis

We are dealing with

A profound report from the depths of emotional despair. The ability to translate such devastating feeling into moving poetic art is as extraordinary as the nakedness of the poem itself. The visual art kicks ass as well.
