ANGUSTIAS DE AMOR...ANGUISH OF LOVE

Angustias de Amor is the primary poem followed by a rough english translation for anyone wanting to know what is all about. I hope you can enjoy both.

esperando, siempre esperando, mientras

ANGUISH OF LOVE

Wishing that someone would call
I opened the door to an empty space,
when I was expecting to say welcome back!
to as I remember your smiling face.

A call on my door saying, "I am here!
coming back from forgetfulness abyss
trying to heal your wounded heart
with my most tender gesture...a kiss"

A presence with the warm of an embrace,
where love is hiding somewhere inside,
awaking in my solitary chest a dormant
blushing love, always so much alive.

For all that, I wait the call in my door,
blows that don't happen, absent blows,
and as I wait, always waiting for that call,
the sands in the clock are running out,
yet, you call never come and love's dying,
every minute, slow, anguishing slow.

I love this poem Georg. It made me feel and reminds me of an Italian 15th century poet named Di Lodovico Ariosto famous for L'Orlando.

Georg,
A siren's song, of love lost. Sad but yet hopeful not all is forgotten.
Truly beautiful.
