Life's Just A Little Easier
Back just a few short years ago,
We had what they call,"dishpan hands",
Doing our dishes the old fashion way,
With water, soap and a washpan.
Today we just load them in a machine,
And complain of the chore, we just done,
It wouldn't hurt for the young ones today,
To make a trip, back to where we come from.
Don't use a pencil or learn to spell,
The computers will do that for us,
We don't have to write or use our heads,
Today there's just no need to fuss,
They don't have to do math,
Or use their minds, it's so sad,
They just pull out that calculator,
Oh gosh it makes me so mad.
They claim that life's just a little easier,
But they're all pretty well overweight,
In todays world, they don't have to move,
Use a remote, cause thats all it takes.
No more hearty home cooked meals prepared,
They all seem to eat fast foods on the go,
Because they say, life's just a little easier,
Now that I look at it, I really don't know.
