Addicted to feet, to heart, to heat,
Addicted to rhyme, addicted to
Power, addicted to towers
Of religious feats.
Addicted to self, to looks, to whelp,
Addicted to times, addicted to
Now, addicted to principles
Of Christmas elves.
Addicted to News, to films, to booze,
Addicted to whines, addicted to
Hours, addicted to agendas
Of our same kind.
Addicted to words, to life, to sight,
Addicted to shrines of addicted lives
Showers… Addicted to unanswerables
Addicted to lines, to smoke, to strife,
Addicted to Law, addicted to Chaotic
Lowers, addicted to justice, unreachable
By anything Else.
Sigh… Addicted to shadows, to nones, to meat,
Addicted to flesh, addicted
To me, how? Addicted to flowers
Of Time’s heartbeat…
