written at a time when things for me seemed very dim

If it isn’t small talk

“Everything is fine”,

“How’s the weather there?”

Don’t call

In the place of not knowing

Ignorance is truly bliss

Not knowing signifies no need to act

Better to just believe and hope the best

So in my space far from you

I will not turn and not know

Love is more compelling than the bliss

Love is also so alone

Show and Tell

love is always alone, its the other side of the coin,,,,so can anyone expect the 2 sides of coin meeting or can anyone ever expect the north or the south pole of a magnet saying "HI,How Are You ??? !!!

better to have known love than to not have known love at all ...

yes, love can be so alone even while surrounded by it ...

excellent take on a universal theme ...

I have reached a point in my life where all I long for is the solace of isolation at the moment. 50 years of "the servant heart" seems to be serving notice on me! Love is... the famine and the feast and I think perhaps it only becomes real to us when we experience both sides of the coin, for self and others. Time out is time well spent and love is... looking for and living in the truth. And, if that truth is "I really don't want to know right now", then so be it. This is a very heavy-handed response to an excellently crafted and to-the-point write... but guess it shows just how much I have been moved by it. Throws up all manner of inter-relational questions. So true and I think all who read this who were at least once in their lives parted lovers feel this poem with the ache and lonliness that you describe so well.
