Careful What You Say

Wagging tongues can be unhealthy for you.

Careful what you say—

It may come back to haunt you some day.

Eyes that cut through you

And tongues that will thrash, too.

All too often many have said hurtful phrases

And for what?  There is no praise….

Only the harsh reality of what you say

Coming back to haunt you one day.

I gossip lots, wish I didn't can't help myself. With my friends at Bingo they all do it. Sometimes I have to defend the person they are talking about. We should not hurt our friends or people we love either. Sometimes it is irrelevant what we are even talking about them for and just to stir up trouble is sometimes why we talk about others.

This is oh so true george. People should take heed and be careful at what they let slip past their lips. Rose

How true! Words can forever damage the relationship between one another. So yes, one must be careful what one says or one's words will come back to haunt them. Thanks for a great reminderfor us all!

A subject we are all guilty of. Wagging those words on the tip of a blade like tongue. Nice job George!
