Understand, i got used to my daddy since I was a puppy...;) R

For a human daddy wasn’t much to look at,

He had this scraggly thing he called a beard,

But mommy was most beautiful, I popped one right there,

I did not want her to see, not till I got to know her, only fair…

They took me for a ride in this awesome Jeep,

Daddy loved it, but learned to love me more,

He complained of my hair being everywhere,

Boy was he upset when his seat belt I did tear…

They got me a haircut, RIGHT DOWN TO MY SKIN,

They said they wanted to make sure I was clean,

It was the coldest I ever felt, but my fur grew back with a sheen,

They gave me my own bed and a porch to play on,

We lived at the beach so we went for walks on the beach,

I don’t go too deep in the ocean anymore since that day I saw the fin…

I grew up like any other normal doggy,

Dad was not happy when I came from the ocean all soggy,

But once he dried me down he got over being groggy,

Most times he was just my human, even when he smoked,

That stuff for some reason made him seem, more than normal, foggy…J

Rufuz sure does write a neat poem! I love this kind of "Voice" work, where you get right into the mind of your subject. Remember "White Fang"? Good stuff, Ed!
