Year of the Pig

One more bacon sandwich
Load of beans on the side
Then I wonder from
Which pig is this backside

Take a sip of my coffee
Lean back and look outside
A big truck full of pigs rolls up
My bacon sandwich I try to hide

A pig has never hurt me
And I do like the cute way they look
But on the road you get so hungry
Looked away and my head I shook

Paid the bill and went out
Saw the pigs think of a breakout
The driver comes along he is very big
It's just bad timing being year of the pig

I'm a Chinese piggy!
Was a vege for many years too. But, now I eat bacon again! Thanks little piggies for your lives!

interesting write-and thought provoking as well--a sense of more than just living blindly but thinking about it.

Nice write...enjoyed the picture..love farm animals, guess you can take the girl out of the country, but can't take the country out of the girl...I too love bacon, but must watch the blood pressure and tend to stay away...enjoyed the write!

It seems to me there is a lot more "substance" to your poem than at first reading. It made me think beyond the humor. Thank you. Love and peace,

Nice picture of the three little piggies. Unfortunately, they will all become bacons on our plates one day.
