The Theatre in our Mind

A movie is playing,

just one paying customer

enjoying the show.

Colors vivid,

the highest

quality of sound;

high definition,

and stereo surround.

The image on this screen,

can be changed in an instant;

only the viewer

remains as a constant.

This theatre has comfort,

a favorite place to be;

Everyone has been there,

but never is one seen.

No tickets, no concessions,

no doormen or attendants;

clothing attire is

"come as you are".

The scenes that are played there,

always win awards;

come one come often,

at this show no one's bored.

For you see we all do attend,

and we never miss out

but always we have time to spend;

at this theatre in our mind,

our imagination without end.

Wonderful. Now I want to sit back and get lost in my imagination for awhile.
Thanks,

I love this poem, EJ, because it is so true! We are all wrapped up in our own little dramas, aren't we, playing them again and again for our own amusement. Good work.
