A candle is lit,

so the light may shine.

The glow is fleeting,

it has limited time.

Warmth and safety,

the flame it brings;

the flicker, the halo, the dance.

But the candle is fickle

for it burns intense,

and melts away

leaving only the scents.

The life of a candle

is so very short;

the wick is what burns,

but the wax is the soul

and the soul will live on.

Just add a new wick,

a new passion to burn

and the candle will brighten

all it takes is a match.

And so it goes my friend, a continuing, like the soul, one kin to another if only in the tiniest of ways. Reba~

I really love this one. I have A thing for candles. This is a nice one.
