I drink in a bar of broken dreams with broken people with broken schemes .
We stagger along in broken time just crying tears and drinking wine once our hearts were whole and our minds were clear,But the drain of life has dumped us here.
Whom the gods would distry they first make mad,But they gave us wine so it's not so bad.
In lifes bowl of cherries we have a place that fits we dwell in the place where they toss the pits.

Thank you for posting this. It lends to
a larger understanding that people do not get themselves into these positions by "choice" alone. Many pressures and influences effect these experiences. Thanks

A very sad write. Sometimes the most touching and beautiful poetry comes when the heart is suffering. I hope it's all over now!
