Miracles

This is just a poem of thought, I don't judge others for their faith. Personally, I like to believe, rather than believing in nothing. Nothing closes the mind down to exploration. No use even leaving the base, when there is no vision or hope in place.

A lot of us aren't clapping,
but miracles really happen.
By all accounts,
I'm suppose to be dead,
but I'm still here instead.
Live and in living color,
still chasing the dollar,
hanging out in the
ice cream parlor,
can't hardly get my neck
in my shirt collar.
In others words I lived to get fatter,
not that it really matter.
I still stack my food on a platter,
sometimes I'm a strike out batter.

I pray almost everyday,
try to see what the Lord
have too say.
He don't talk much,
and seems He's a little out of touch.
That's when we're awake,
close your eyes it's a different take.
It seems miracles occur
least when we don't expect.
Sometimes it's just the way
the Lord does his connect.

If it's not your day,
you won't be going away.
Maybe later,
you might get ate by a alligator.
Then it might be after while,
chewed up by a crocodile.
Whatever the means of leaving,
that day it won't be decieving,
then again it could be relieving,
or a goodbye blessing recieving.

Here's the catch,
you might won't to
use prayer for a patch.
If you'er into scientology,
trying to ignore the Lords
great creation of biology,

you can forget even thinking
about a miracle happening.
Also if you are an atheist
the same applies,
times get tough,
there will be no Godly cries.

When we don't believe in nothing,
we can't even fantasize about something.
The door of hope
is closed for the telescope.
No use even peeking,
when we don't believe,
there's a God speaking.

Nothing from nothing,
leaves zero,
whether we're a
coward or a hero.

Give me some miracles thoughts,
rather than some nothing noughts.
I've tried speaking to nothing,
got nothing back but nothing.
There's comfort in hope,
at least the mind can
travel and scope.

Outstanding job One...enjoyed this so very much, you've said so much within the lines, wise write dear friend. Yes, miracles do still happen, my daughter wasn't supposed to be hear according to the doctors, whom suggested 23 years ago that I abort her, standing firmly on my faith and clinging to the Lord's hand, I protested and said no! I also told them they just didn't know the God I served, His healing power is real! I was looked upon as a nut! But guess what? She defied the odds, which was 99.9 percent sure she would not be a normal child....born healthy, threw tantrums, played sports, cheerleaded, danced, sang, lived through the teen years, now she is a young mother, Christian who now sings praises unto the Lord...Praise the Lord miracles do happen everyday! Large and small, life itself is a miracle! Enjoyed One, you are a blessing and inspiration my friend!
Blessings from Kentucky,
Joyce Bowling

"Miracles", yes, when a little pebble for no reason moves down the slope, when I see inside of those enorm eyes of a questioning toddler, or when, in church, suddenly I feel warm breath on my face in the middle of a hard cold winter.
"Miracles" when a son is born, when we are happy and when we are sad because someone put there those feelings.
Not to believe is to negate oneself existence.
A wise poem from a wise man.
