Would black rain have darker taste
Then crystal drops of dew
I never tasted either one
I'd pass on such a brew
Is white heat hotter than the blue
Which holds the crueler scorch
I've never warmed my chill that close
I'd distance either source
Is music softer in a dream
Or when its heard within
I could not mark the difference
And never guess the twin
Is heaven higher than the sky
Or here upon this earth
I know that it is somewhere
Because I feel it's worth

Peter Paton conveyed my sentiments to a tee. You have an extraordinary gift Anita that always satisfies the soul.

I like the gentle questioning nature of this write that also makes the reader want to answer and dwell for a few minutes on what is asked. Very nice.

Some have said: "Heaven is under our feet." Others say it's somewhere up there.... Wherever heaven is, I think you have just spilled a little piece of it right here on this page! Anita, this is just gorgeous poetry!

Pax, I truly loved this piece of poetry...the voice is self describing and the images when the lines bring about many scenes. Thanks for sharing!

A most beautiful, hypnotic write that pulls at the reader's soul. I love this one. The opening lines are compelling; they draw the reader in to a totally satisfying read. Well done!
