Nature’s Cleansing

The darkness fades from sight,

awaking to face another day,

sun brings the morning light,

new hope of finding the way.

Nothing more than a maze,

without a compass or a clue,

often left bewildered in a daze,

beneath the sky of velvet blue.

Lost in mere moments of time,

unsure from whence we came,

the confusion clouds the mind,

an illusion of who’s to blame.

Cast upon the placid lake,

on a mountain top so high,

the tranquility it can make,

pondering the reason why.

Each day brings new hope,

a world of sorrow and pain,

nature provides the security

cleansing the spirit in the rain.

Sam, this is such a touching poem, I truly could feel this journey in time. I could sense all of the sensations in this writing...wandering and searching for hope and a cleansing of the spirit.
