Thy breath blowing against the light fluffy down...the thistle seeds dance through the air...Our magical fairytale...

Gently I pick a light fluffy down

Blowing gently thy breath against it

The thistle seeds dance through the air

I'm thinking of you

My Dear Sweet Grandmother

Remembering

Your telling me a long time ago

Make a wish my Darling

Blow and your dreams will come true

I realize now it was a magical fairytale then

Between us

If only it were real

I would gently blow thy breath against it

Waiting for the sun to set

For that is a moment I remember best

Your walking back from the meadow

Behind you a beautiful sunset

This is so beautifully written, Laura. A sweetness mingled with sadness flows from it. A lovely grandmother memory to share with us. I never knew either of my grandparents, so I enjoy them through writers like you. Thank you, precious friend.

God Bless

"A Magical Fairytale Then"
Debra this poem is breathtakingly beautiful!
The words used causes one to conjure up the images of a Grandmother figure walking just as you described as the sun glistens radiately around and behind...causing a somewhat halo to appear around her.

Magnificent giving away to heartfelt memories to each reader of perhaps their own Grandmother!
Thank you,

Well Debra perhaps your wish came true even though you thought you were wishing for somthing altogether different. Grandparents are special and to have memories of time like this one to last a lifetime is indeed what the very value of life is about.
