Rain can be very therapeutic...

Naked Rain

Rain came
I heard her whisper around my home
She gently tapped on the windowpane
Clad in transparent silvery veils
She wore her nudity with poise
She beckoned
I answered
I went outside
Clothed in nothing
(I am not an aficionado of needless attire)
I let her have her way
She massaged my naked skin
With gentle liquid touch
She reawakened all of my senses
When she was done
She let the sun
Dry me
I am delighted
Rain came

Beautiful personification of rain! It made me think of the rainstorms in Haiti...not soft and gentle as you describe here, but pouring in buckets. I love to stand in the rain there and have it wash over me, drenching me to the skin in minutes--as if it were trying to cleanse the dirt and grime from the country. But...I have gotten away from your poem. Beautiful...

An enchanting encounter with our natural shower.
This reminded me of a particular wet morning on a farm circa 1971. Sheep had escaped from a field and we had to go round them up. The farmer and his son donned oil - skins but there was none for me. When I pointed this out the farmer replied, 'Yer skin's waterproof is it not?' Obviously his and his son's wasn't.
