And here I said I would NEVER chase storms. LOL Never say never. Now will I chase tornadoes? NAH. At least, not yet ...

off in the distance
the dark suddenly lit up
with a bolt of light --

digitally shot.
deleted much more than i
kept, worth it because

i captured lightning
for the very first time!  more
storms in the forecast.

i'll be out there, with
camera in hand, taking
pics of God's beauty.  :)

Karla --

You are a master at capturing these storms in words. The suspense, the way they start and end. They are "God's beauty" no matter what they do.

You also are a master at capturing them in your lens.

Kathy

Cool pic Karla!
I once was in a lightening storm on a long and desolate highway...alone! The bolts were all around me! I didn't have a camera but the vision is implanted in my head...it was beautiful!
But, I must be honest...I was alittle frightened! Keep your distance and stay away from puddles!
Smiles to you!
Love and PEace~

Brilliant shot. I once did the same as a kid, as the lightning hit the sea, with a lonely boat on the sand. Zuess must think he's getting slow..
