A chisel stroke upon the stone
Of living tissue rent
The chunks upon the ground are proof
Of life’s forever changing ways
The statue is incomplete as yet
The artist frowns and hammers home
To reach the place that’s wanted.
Another blow to find perfection
And yet requires another blow to find the line thats wanted.
Each day the chips dislodged fall down
And fly away in winds of time
Each day steps closer to the vision
of perfection,
with chips of imperfections lost.
the day will come when the dreams complete,
the vision and the goal is reached
that day the statue breathes its last
and joins the masters ultimate collection!
