A Mask of Love

Some men can sweetly eat outta your hand, till they turn mean and bite it off!

Amid his venomous spiel of abuse, she felt her heart break,
His evil words and wrath, were just too much to take.
She cowered and whimpered, each of his words a dart,
Each one piercing and impailing her battered heart.
Where was the once gentle soul that wooed this Maiden Fair?
The one that once spoke sweetly and made her care.
He was now a Demon, that had once worn the Mask Of Love,
He had used gentleness to beguile this dove.
Beware the ones who wear a mask of love
to beguile and deceive,
They will destroy your soul and leave your heart to grieve.

During my nightclub years, I saw many men like this come into the club--say anything to get the one thing he wanted and move on as soon as it is delivered. The kids I taught called these kind of guys 'players'.

Sincerely,
Lloyd

why some people change out of the blue, you bring it into a perspective that truly sheds a light on the meaning of.
as well as cause the reader to ponder, "mask of love"... couldnt have been written any better...

Thought provoking pen. You may want to change madien to Maiden (You had me wondering, and then searching for the meaning of Madien). True some men are like this, but for women's sake I thank God most are not.Enjoyed the pen.

Powerful emotion! - It describes a fierce dragon surfacing under his skin, turning him into a stranger right in front of your eyes. we run into this scenario at one time or another.

Well-expressed. Take care!

Girl, if ever a man disrespect you, don't wait until he says that he didn't meant it, that he don't gonna do that no more; girl, just kick his bells just once, but hard and when you are at it throw is sorry ass out and change the doors locks.
You will feel better and he will think twice in the future to do the mean act to someone else.
