We find the price for freedom
Buried in our ground
Brave sons and daughters laid to rest
Flowers scattered ‘round

For those who gave their precious lives
My gratitude runs deep
For parents, children, husbands, wives
My heart can’t help but weep

This day we set to honor them
To say a prayer or two
Our country mourns the shame of war
That has taken them from you

I hear the bell of freedom
Ringing out so clear
Because these soldiers laid to rest
Were brave, beyond their fear

Superb! What a "...price for freedom..." Talk about capturing the true essecence of it all, well Sherry you've done just that. And the image you've chosen, finishes it completly. You've out done yourself here. You are an amazing writer. I can't wait to read the rest of your ever unfolding works!

Thanks for allowing me to share in your poetic labor of love.
