My Sweet Granddaughter, I'd Change It All If I Could

Nobody's Girl
By La Belle Rouge

you're my rose, little darlin
you're the apple of my eye
and it tears my heart to pieces
everytime i see you cry

if i could give you the world
baby, you know i would
and id take away all your pain
if only i could

my arms feel so empty
without you here to hold
my heart is filled each day
with a mother's pain untold

if i could just change the past
make it happy and bright
id fill your days with warm sunshine
give you soft moonlight every night

id give you a mom and dad
whod always be there for you
with open arms to support you
and never failing love so true

i tried my best, baby girl
but it wasnt enough to heal
all the pain of abandonment
all the sorrow you still feel

but if i could, you know
id give you the whole world
and take away your empty feeling
of being nobody's little girl

This is certainly a heart breaker and what could be sadder than a child who feels abandoned despite the fact that she is loved and obviously a situation has been taken out of a devoted grandmother's hands. This makes me ache and want to reach out to everyone the loneliness has touched.

Beautiful and so sad. No one should ever experience feeling unloved. Love is the most precious gift and it's so inexpensive. If I could capture every tear and pain in this world so others would feel happiness I would accept it. Bless You Always, Paul.

Oh my, how sad your poem is, but
in the same breath, how loving are
your feelings for your grandchild.
Would that we could change life for
those we love. Such a compassionate
poem dear one.

So beautiful, Belle. Especially so given the total soul-sacrificing and 100% unconditional love which frames this sentiment. Heartbreaking when, giving all WE can, it is just not the same as having the pain erased by the person(s) who caused it in the first place, sadly usually impossible. But perhaps a day will come when finally our all CAN be enough... in any event, without it who knows how far, how deep the Precious One might fall. I feel this, Belle. So many of us are still that little girl locked up inside who has never been able to move on... But YOU would certainly know how to do the best thing to help. Sometimes, holding and being held is all we can do... taking away the shockwaves from the ever-present point of pain. Bless you, Darlin. Your heart is just SO big and your soul so loving. Kate xx

Many Blessings,
