She's More Than Words

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Behind The Poetry
By La Belle Rouge
you read the words,
feel the emotions in their course
for good and evil, love or hate
poetry is a powerful force
you read the words and then....a choice
you think you’re falling in love
but it’s only the love of poetry
not the real woman behind it
that you want and see
the woman is more than warm emotions
more than the words you’ve heard
a one dimensional being? how absurd
is the woman flesh and blood to you?
she needs and cries and feels
and yes, she bleeds just like you do
she needs more than declarations of love
and scraps thrown from your table
don’t pretend to love her if you aren’t truly able
she can be all she has written
but not to one who can't be all she needs
so when her loving words you read
if you like, fall in love with the verses
but please don’t bring any curses
on yourself and another tender heart
by just playing a theatrical part
remember she's real, not just a poem
and her heart is not your toy
before you speak consider where it’s going
love might bring more pain than joy
she’s much more than the words
men's searching hearts have heard
take care what you do or don’t
maybe you’d be satisfied to play a game
but the woman behind the poetry won’t
All so true But when you meet someone who excels the poetry that is written That then becomes the poetry of real love
the kind where words could never really express the emotion
so you stop trying opps Im babbling, better go
Once, long ago, I got an e.mail saying that reading a particular review put a smile back in an otherwise sad face of someone living a tight spot that moment.
Words are meant to communicate or to heal somebody's wond, to pacify, to reassure, not to be wasted again and again saying sorry.
Always is out there someone that needs a kind word.
Just because I Smooooch a lot of women here
doesn't mean I want to jump in the sack with them.
Smile....
I get your point. Some folks do play games they
shouldn't..
I've come to love the words and admire the poets..
Always a pleasure to read you La Belle...
Truly amazing write!
Just like the expression of behind every successful man
Theirs a woman, behind every beautiful poetic thought
Theirs a great poet or poetess gliding the
Feathers of his / her quill through the paper
Placing those feelings of love
And those thoughts and emotions the tears from the heart!!
Outstanding write my friend Wishing you
Love Peace and Happiness...Morning Star
I truly believe that some people do indeed
fall in love with our words, never thinking
about the person behind them -- I have a
passion for words but like you, I am so much
more than the words I pen. Very emotive poem
so filled with meaningful dialogue.
Love,
Katherine
Not so sure..I agree about love, that's complex. But every poet I've met, have been just as I imagined them. I think after 20 poems or so, a poet can't hide their real self...Apart from me being the mad axeman... Plus most in the arts are the best kinda folk, not just because 80% seem to be women, but there is an openess and fellowship that is not found other than in church... Seya up the belfry
A BIG AMEN! Sweet Sissy! Do men who fall in lust with verse written from a feminine heart and hand, consider the woman behind the poem? She is very real and has wants and needs, to unlock the passion she writes he needs an understanding heart and mind. LOVE YOU! Sissy
