Epitaph on a tombstone in an Indiana cemetary:

"Pause stranger, when you pass me by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now so you will be
So prepare for death and follow me"

A stranger read it and scratched underneath

"To follow you I'm not content
Until I know which way you went"

~~**~~

Oh vast and endless unknown time
Of which I spend so much in rhyme
I know by great spirits kind direction
That we're being prepared for perfection

Though it seems so far out of sight
While we live here in depth of night
Wanting to partake of earths delights
Even the ones we know aren't right

So I do the things I know I must
Planning my eternity, for You I trust
Knowing there is no earthly technician
Who can compare to God's logician

I wonder too about all those I know
Praying in them, you'll prosper and grow
Knowing  love is for all Your creation
So heavenly joy will be our destination

~~
We ought to plan for our eternal vacation
it comes sooner than we think;-)

(fooled you, didn't I;-)

An inspired response to the message on the tombstone. On that day we shall know Him, because we will be like Him. I'm ready today sugar chum - nothing here worth clinging too, or aspiring too, if He's not at the core of our lives.
Blessings ...
