He was in love with her arua, a floating mist he could never hold.

He whispered," I love you", into the mist,
He conjured her face, saw the lips he would never kiss.
He shuddered and her aura warmed him, sheltering him from the cold,
She hovered above him, without form, there was nothing for him to hold.
He whispered his love words to the wind,
Her essence he felt, though just pretend.
A voice without a face, softly soothed,
It touched his heart and he was moved.
What caused these feelings, he did not know,
He would hang on tightly and not let go.
Her ghostly presence haunted him each night,
She had no arms to hold him tight.
He was a passionate man and craved physical love,
Though he could not have it from the misty spirit that floated above.
In his fantasy she whispered his name,
But she faded with dawn and just cold nothing remained.
Fate had led her on a different track,
Her life was in progress, with no turning back.
Why had fate let them collide?
Destiny stops her dwelling at his side.
She wished no pain to touch this gentle man,
His feelings for her, she did not understand.
" Why did this happen?", he asks the night sky,
Confused by it all, he just sighs and asks,"WHY!"

This is really awesome. Like a ghost/love story. Perhaps two people in different dimensions. Really enjoyed.

Don't ask why, ask whom...
The mysticism lies in the wanting heart not in the question.
A kiss is not just a kiss.

SC your writing reminds me of a plank of knoty pine board.
One side planed smooth, the other rough as a cob, bothsides full
of knots, each knot has a unique story that makes the board beautiful
and whole.i surley do like your knots rough and smmoth.
This one is so very smooth.it wraps around the reader.
