A Nation in Shock

There is a lot we can do to stop this. Just a government please and everything will look better. This is a report I read from the Somali radio Shabelle on the plight of Somali immigrants who attempt to flee the war but end up in terrible sea tragedy during their voyage from the Somali coasts of Puntland to the neighboring country of Yemen. While in the sea people are forced to disembark and drown and swim to the shores of Aden, Yemen or else face the shock of getting thrown into the sea at gunpoint. Boat crew do this because they want to avoid being sighted by Yemeni Coast guards. There are cases whereby the boat is overloaded and gets capsized in the middle of the ocean or its engine goes out of order which lets the people float on the sea for many days or even weeks without eating or drinking. And the part of the story where it is terrible is that babies as young as few weeks could be among starving in the boat.

Lying dead on the red sand
Their bodies speak volumes
But nobody heeds attention
Everybody looks and shrugs
Swallowing the right words
Forcing his body to speak
By waving arms up in the air
Making unimpressive gestures
Giving the impression of
"What can I do to avoid this?"
Somalia is a nation in Shock

I have news for you my friends, some are trying to immigrate to Europe, some come to Malta and some die on the way, drowned by sudden storms so common in the Mediterranean. Victor

(((HUGS))), love and prayer, Abdi-Noor,

Man's inhumanity to man detailed in no-holds barred reality. Keep speaking out, keep hoping for peace, I'm with you on this one.

Karla. *tears*

I look at that picture and see my own sons and it terrifies me. How the hearts of mothers in Somalia must be ripped to shreds.

Keep fighting the good fight, my friend, and keep penning your heartfelt poems, for all the world to see.

The best people to help are yourselves. Dare to be brave, an uprising is of utmost importance, then get NATO'S help...In other words England, its commonwealth and Americia... Sadly the other nations cross on the other side of the street, playing blind...

Stand up and fight. Better to die fighting evil tyranny than live waiting to die, be it at home, by an evil bullett, hunger.Gotta be tough. Every able man should take his nation back....

Never, ever sell out your manhood...
