I am a tiny raindrop
Resting inside a cloud
Today, I’ll fall from Heaven
And make my Father proud
I’ll join my friends and neighbors
To form a blessed shower
The profit from our labors
Will last from hour to hour.
Alone, I am a droplet
Unable to sustain
Much easier to forget
Than a slow, steady rain
But, when the day is over
My purpose will be seen
Upon the field of clover
And everywhere I’ve been.
I am a tiny raindrop
Resting inside a cloud
Today, I’ll fall from Heaven
And leave my darkened shroud
So soon, I will be earthbound
Where I’ll help to bestow
The beauty that I have found
To the grasslands, below.
My friends and I, together
Have one purpose in mind
To show you that the weather
Can benefit mankind
Each rainstorm brings a moment
When the world is revived
A time, filled with reflection
Upon tasks we’ve survived.
Can one droplet make a difference?
I would have to say, no
Since my friends and I, together
Put on a brilliant show
I am a tiny raindrop
Inside a cloud of gray
But, soon, I’ll fall from Heaven
Where I’ll brighten your day.
I am, merely, a raindrop
No better than the dew
Yet, I have quite a mission
Before my time in through
My friends and I must show you
There’s no need to complain
Each shower, sent from Heaven
Is meant to ease your pain.
