| My husband did not get all he wanted done either before his death last Aug. He moved on to a pain free world though, but left his spirit behind with me. Grieving but reading and writing on Author's Den is very good therapy. Aches and pains keep me from geeting things done too, but carry on just like you. Always willing to try. |

Well George I've always believed that we all have to get old but we are only as old as we feel, I keep telling my grown children that I gave them my time now my time is mine and I have a lot of living to do. Another great write, thank you for sharing.

George, nother good pen. When I retired, like many others, somem friends said I'd get bored real quick and wish I was back at work. They were mostly wrong! After working for over 45 years, I don't miss the daily grind of getting up and going to work, but I find I miss the interaction with friends that I've made from work.
I stay as busy being retred, as I did while working. I serve on the board of director for our local chamber of commerce, I continue to host (voluntarilly sp) a interview show for two radio stations, and am involved with volunteering at several other non-for-profit orginizations.
I manage to do this while experiencing chronic health issues. Someone already said it, and it's true; aging ain't for sissies!
