Gift of Sharing

The building blocks of being together

The nurturing nature, needed

To grow love further

Whether with a gentle expression, kind word or simple gesture

To transform stranger into friend

Be it remote or close within

A kind word spoken or endearing grin

Shows the truth of acknowledgement

Which for lovers leads to a caress and takes us down the path

Of loving

To share with someone is to take a risk

Expose parts of us deep within

We may not want to give

To feel a fool is a high cost, when it seems, all might be lost

As we bump along, banging into

Scattered thoughts

Wondering if this is right or that is wrong

Confusion unearthing buried stones

Building into a crescendo of worry

To battle, fear, rejection and self, creating an

Avalanche of doubt

turning us out

Into the cold

Is the gift of sharing not worth it all

To take a chance of breaking down

The barrier blocking

Union

From reaching our greatest potential

Our reward

A greater gain than given

The love mirrored

Again and again

Till we feel the world a better place

Transforming us, day by day

Because we took the challenge,

Of loving

I love this poem of daring to open up and share. . .and the Love that can be found in those depths of heart. Actually, this is beautiful!

To share with someone is to take a risk. How true is that? Most times the result is heavy. Which can serve as a builder of strength. Sometimes love turns to repetition, and then competition. It's the human need to be loved that trying, going. Great poem Stan.

A beautiful write my friend...to love is a part of our human nature...I can't imagine living my life without sharing love with my family and friends. Love can be expressed in many ways, words, actions, gestures, and sometimes can even be felt through a smile or even eye contact. Love does make our lives complete...just as it was intended! A great write my friend....enjoyed!
Blessings,
