Peaceful Place
By La Belle Rouge

find your peaceful place
sit and listen to the wind
hear the songs of the birds
and the ancient ones again

watch the busy dragonflies
hear soft buzz of honey bees
watch breezes playing tag
in the tops of evergreen trees

breathe deeply, smell wild roses
draped over an old wood fence
so many splashes of color
so many nuances of scent

find your place of rest
and sweetest solitude
throw sorrow far from you
meditate but don't brood

if you slip away from time
and enter the door of eternity
you will find your peaceful place
in your heart is where it will be

9/10/2007 La Belle Rouge

"Poetry, Soul Whisper"

I love your peaceful place, Belle. If it's not in your heart, it's nowhere. If it's not in your heart, you can't take it with you. You paint a picture of eternity being both time AND place. And a refuge worth striving for. Peace be with you, Darlin. Love, Kate xx

"Peaceful Place" more than a physical location, more than tranquility, more than God's beauty around us - we each need to find our 'peaceful place' to be what God intended for each of us to be.

The music - I could listen to it for hours - in my peaceful place.

God's blessing to you,

Not brooding is hard to do Georg. But print the poem and go walk in the woods and find a babbling brook. Sit down on a blanket or something dry, read the poem, and just listen. Mother Nature will take care of the rest.

Sissy, you have done it again. A beautiful work. How I long to find a babbling brook around here where I can just sit and find peace.

Belle, once again you have magnificently co-mingled the art of your pen with great music and the picture of a very tranquil place to be.

I have read the poem again and again but the feeling of brooding doesn't go away, and are saying that steps going up when my soul are telling me they are going down.
Meditation sometimes don't come with a soul whisper but with a silent scream.
So much the words affected me.

peaceful poem, meditation in reading it, loved the colours and scent of Nature in this deep breath poem Belle - amazing what a few minutes breathing in and out can do for a person! calming and refreshing, enjoyed - 'meditate but dont brood' is good advice for us humans being! Less grumpiness and more meditation is always a good idea :)
