There has been a lot of poetry written this past week about what one sees in anotherís eyes and so I picked up this picture that I hold so dear and looked to see what it said to me. I found a picture of a thousand words, and so here are just a few of those words, that it spoke to me.

A Picture Of A Thousand Words

I look into your photo,
I carry with me everyday,
I see that sparkle in your eye,
And this is what I hear them say.
I need you, how I love you,
Iíll always want you near,
Iíll always cherish the moments,
You showed how very much you care.

I look at your special smile,
In the photo that I see,
And hope youíll always know,
How much you are loved dear by me.
I see you grin from ear to ear,
I know just what it says,
You want to hold me every night,
As we make love, in our bed.

I feel you touch my gentle skin,
So soft to your touch,
Iím thankful everyday dear,
To have loved you this much.
I feel your fingers through my hair,
You say it smells so divine,
A picture of a thousand words,
Say Iím so happy that youíre mine.

It doesnít matter if you are near,
Or that we may be far apart,
I know that the love we have,
Means we are in each otherís hearts.
I look at your picture that I carry,
I feel all I ever have to do,
Is hold it close to my heart,
And know I am close to you.

A picture of a thousand words - somehow I get the feeling that the feelings elicited from you by this picture are closer to a "million"? It is apparent to a viewer that he is happy - what we don't know is what made him so happy. I'm thinking it must be you, Rose. Your poem touts your love, which by your writing is obviously reciprocated. You are both blessed by God and each other.

I love these poems. My day is lifted because of the love you write about. You remind me every day that I am lucky to have the same relationship with my wife. My smile broadens as the sun warms the room and I look over at Peggy sitting on the couch. Thanks for this moment.
My very best regards
