In the time before time
when first we loved each other
there weren't any others
vows were made to keep
love was strong and deep
when the era was over
we were in different realms,yet
the connection was never severed

Eons passed and once again
though different appearances
we met and mated knowing
that we had been united before
without questioning our destiny
with faith and passionate intensity
we lived and loved for many years
until once again time separated us

Then,I was sitting at an outdoor cafe
you  at the next table with a woman
our eyes met and held with certainty
that we had known each other before
the feeling so strong and sure that
when your wife  went to the restroom
you came over and said we had to meet
we did once a week for the next 10 yrs

We wondered why things had changed
we knew we were meant for each other
not wanting to hurt anyone we were
confused longing to be together again
but how could we explain to his wife
and my husband and our children
so we met in secret hoping the next era
changed back to how it had been before

Eileen, love is stronger than the most violent winds, true love remains in the core of a soul and I don't think it ever really leaves. This is sad and heart rendering, love is a bond between two people and if it was strong enough it never leaves...it lays dormant in the soul until ripened again. A nice writing.

Very tenderly told tale of pensive misdirection. Who knows if time-sharing arrangements other than the one depicted were made among the off-screen players?

Life can be stranger than fiction
Then again, fiction can be stranger than life
Only the author knows
And let's the readers imagination go.
Maybe the next era will tell us so.

Well written piece, delicately depicting what happens as time passes, until we meet again and the pain begins all over again....

Life before and after can get pretty confusing when there are no answers. We either live in the here and now or in the past with still believin in our souls.

Partners do deserve consideration but we should all be entitled to love more than one man or woman. I believe it's natural. Many won't agree I know. An interesting story Eileen. Wonderful pic also....Bless you...Joyce

This lingers in the heart and mind with questions and desires for outworkings and completions: just like the interleaving of the lives you speak of here. Your artistry in word, graphic and music weave an emotional fabric that tumbles in a never-ending silken skein that wraps us all in its mystery. You have crafted this loving conundrum so well... Fiction, fact, fict-fact?? Your categorisation as Biography just adds to this poems alluring mystique. We can never know the truth about these things until Time After Time for certain sure. You are a Master/Mistress of these intriguing scenarios. You leave us hungry! Wonderful concluding ellipsis baiting our breath. Love, Kate xx

Two hearts joined is a melacholic love.
The attraction so deep
A secret to keep
Else, others will weep.

Whadda poem, Eileen. Great theatre heah . . . If this was me writing this I'd be tempted to believe it was true, because you know me, I tell all . . . but since it isn't I will just say, if it isn't for real, it makes for a beautiful story/poem, and hoepfully the opposite spouces never found out . . .

Unsual poems for sure: perhaps, as I beleive, there is much to do with reincarnation. Forever souls, magnetically linked, life after life. Strange artwork: half photo, half graphic; love to know how you do it, music is lovely, that I can figure out, but art I'm a zero! Thanks
