She Waits....

Art 'Autumn In Lace' By Selina French

Autumn Lace
Lyrics By La Belle Rouge

The days grow short, the nights grow long
The crimson leaves turn brown and die
She lures him with her siren's song
His heart embraces every sigh

In pictures of her angel face
Full, crimson lips curl in a smile
His fingers touch her soft, white lace
Across each empty, aching mile

No time to waste when love can't wait
The autumn breeze grows cool at night
Cruel frost the red rose soon will take
Cold Winter waits at dawn's first light

Tenderly she calls his name
His words of love dispell her chill
Their wild desire they'll never tame
Their need for more they'll never fill

In autumn lace she waits for him
Wrapped in sheer moonlight from above
Autumn won't come again for them
there'll be no other winter love

No time to waste when love can't wait
The autumn breeze grows cool at night
Cruel frost the red rose soon will take
Cold Winter waits at dawn's first light

Beautiful lines, La Belle...crisp lyrics. Autumn is the season for songs and cider...

In my eyes...the Winter merely precedes the Spring. Winter does not bring and end but sometimes a start to the cycle of life as with the rose dormant in the shadows of winter to bloom in the dawn of Spring. Always beautiful.

Beautiful! You know La Belle, this echoes the plight of mortals, all fated so so soon to wither after a brief noon of radiant youth. This was epitomised by Mervyn Peak in Ghormenghast when he narrated the accelerated aging of the dwellers beyond the walls of the castle.

Superb flowing verse.

Much love and many blessings,

Breathtaking, and the song Europa, (Gato) how can you not feel your passion. Go to him, cling to him, love him, fulfill all your fantasies with him, don't ever regret and say out of your mouth, "I wish I had..."
You are such a passionate soul, you deserve to be happy!
Peace, Love, and Light,
